Woodwind: 1. Flute the Flute has a high range of notes, the voice is softer, usually is clearer then others instrument; 2. Oboe Oboe have a sharper voice then other woodwinds, it has a "bi" voice; 3. Clarinet the clarinet has the best voice amount the woodwind (in my view only), it has a nice low voice with the soften of flute; 4. Basson you may concern that Basson is the bass form of Oboe, like oboe, it produce a "bi" voice while it is much lower then oboe. Brass: 5. Trumpet Trumpet has a bright voice, usually is used to lead the band; 6. Horn Horn has a softer voice than other brass, sometime we use it to pretent the basson whenwe need; 7. Trombone In voice, it has a similar pitch with trumpet while it can slide the note easily; 8. Tuba the Tuba is the bass of brass, it has a similar voice with trumpet. Strings: 9 - 12. the Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass is similar in features while they are the "Soprano", "Alto", "Tenor" and "Bass" in string respectively. They can have a smooth and soft pitch with bowing and staccato in pizz. form. Pitched Percussion: 13. Timpani Timpani is a simple dram of the percussion, but it can have different pitch which make it grouped into pitched percussion; 14 - 16. Keyboards i & ii) Xylophone is similar to piano. It has a stuck and woody pitch, while Glockenspiel has a light, sharp voice like "ding"; iii) Tubular Bells has a low "dang" voice. It usually used in hymns and baroque music. Non-Pitched Percussion: 17. Tambourine It has a light "ring" sound and it can act as drum; 18. Maracas Maracas has a weak "sa-sa" voice, it usually used with Tambourine in some folk songs; 19. Triangle Triangle has a strong "ding" pitch
