C , all the data are range from 5 to 8 they can be grouped together 2008-08-21 17:23:40 補充： Sorry, should be B All the data are range from 17--41, total 25 units So they can be grouped into 5 intervals, each within 5 units then we can count the frequency for each interval for meaningful chart representation 2008-08-21 17:27:57 補充： A and D are discrete data, meaningless for grouping into intervals C is exact value type, no intervals is suitable for such data type, if data change to 5.0, 5.1, 5.4,... 6.3, 6.1, 6.7, ..... 7.0, 7.2, ...., 8.0, 8.1,...... which also can be grouped into intervals with each interval value 1 unit 2008-08-25 00:52:54 補充： interval = range interval always being used in satistics calculation, especially used in the grouping of data. for a number of discrete data, grouping is meaningful in plotting charts, such as histogram.
